Down the shore

That’s how east coasters say it. It’s like my “up north.”

After 16 months of waiting and planning B and I off to New Jersey to witness the wedding of two of our favorite loves, Jen and Ron. I’m thrilled to be standing next to one of my best friends on her very special day.

And, since my life revolves around food, in between all the wedding fun, I’ll be filling up on these (I’m a Pat’s fan)

We tried to channel our inner J Crew model but that didn’t happen, I can’t keep a straight face to save my life.

The fabulous Allie offered to take engagement pictures of Bryan and I and we jumped at the offer! She is so amazingly talented and has a great eye for beautiful pictures. I was a terrible subject, laughing when I need to be serious and talking when I was suppose to be silent but in the end we got a bunch of awesome pictures.

Thank you Allie, these are priceless.

This past weekend started out a little slow, I stayed in bed until around 11 sleeping of the fun from Friday night’s Born to Fit Gap party that Jessica so graciously and fabulously hosted (more to come on that!)

After getting myself together we braved the rain and headed to Market Days to see my favorite band My Dear Disco. One of my best friends from High School is the drummer and we love their music. Really fun atmosphere and they totally rocked!

After parting ways Bryan and I went on “date night” to Carnivale! We were really looking forward to the yummy latin fusion and we were NOT disapointed. Totally yummy and very  romantic. We feasted on manchago cheese, roasted corn soup, beef tenderloin and paella. I wanted Churros so badly, but we were so full…oh well next time!

Sunday qualified us for the “best friends” award because we got up at 7:15 to head down to cheer on Adam, May and Ellen in the Rock ‘n Roll half marathon. We were really proud of them for finishing in awesome time!!!

rocknroll

We followed up all that cheering and running with brunch at Eleven City, seriously one of the most tasty Jewish deli’s I’ve ever been to. We will be back! I had matzo ball soup that was the size of my fist (wish I could have documents but my camera died during the race 😦

My favorite part of the weekend was heading to the burbs to have dinner with Beth and Jim – who are in the wedding party! We LOVE them,  we MISS them,  we NEED to see them more!  They have a lot of exciting going on in Denver and we are just so happy for them.

Well, my New Year’s resolution of blogging regularly didn’t really hold up well. After trying to find my voice here, I struggled to put out good content and gave up back in March.

BUT, now I’m back and ready to take on the blogosphere! I found my inspiration and can’t wait to share it all with you! I’m marrying my best friend on August 28, 2010. It is a really exciting time in my life and I’m so happy I have a space to share my thoughts and feelings to remember this brief period that is already going by so fast.

More details to come but below is the start of our journey to married life.
